Traditional painted tipis come about from vision. The colour and designs have personal meaning to the rights holder and though some designs have been sold many are passed down generationally through a family and not to be copied onto another tipis until the original is no longer in use.
I am inspired. This is a friends traditional painted tipi and upon his viewing these paintings I was informed "they feel right".
